Trance cabinet: building the energy

Firstly, what is the cabinet for? Originally it was used in physical mediumship to help focus and contain the energy; part of the proof that the phenomena is by Spirit and not the medium.

For instance, the physical medium may be tied to the chair and gagged; the front curtain of the cabinet drawn. The phenomena would then occur outside the enclosure. When finished the curtain would be drawn to show the medium is still gagged (so could not have produced the sound), and remains tied to the chair (so could not have moved e.t.c).

Nowadays, cabinets can be used just for the energy - holding it in one place and as a backdrop to enable the audience to see Spirit energy. Spirit energy can most easily been seen against a black or white background (with the naked eye), this is why our cabinet is painted black.

Mostly though trance mediums use cabinets because of the energy they can hold and focus (amplify). I tell my students that trance mediumship is a gas guzzler it takes more actual power to do than mental mediumship. As trance mediums, we need to create that energy and allow Spirit to flow that energy through us. So, where does the cabinet fit into this?

It becomes a storage device think of it as a battery or power pack. You can build energy in the cabinet, in the very fabric of it, that is used for trance mediumship. Of course, this takes time.

Now I have the new cabinet I will have to spend time sitting in it, building energy within it. It will be interesting to see how my students find it when they see it for the first time at the end of the month.

Interesting, I do not know how old this post is but on the off chance you read this: How is your box constructed? Is it using the ancient principles with wood, metal and crystal or is it just treated layered cloth with metal thread? Can I please ask where you got you're cabinet from? I used to have one, but the person I got it from doesn't make them anymore.
