The Art of Raising Children - Online Lecture
Are you looking to have a child? Are you worried about whether you are a good parent or not? Do you fear what the future holds for your child? Are you overwhelmed by being a parent?
We are often asked questions about children by parents and those seeking to become parents. We wanted to address some of your concerns and give some practical thoughts and steps. From looking at your needs and wants, to challenging society's ideas and focusing on the well-being of the whole family (biological or otherwise).
The world and society are changing at a lightning-fast rate, and raising children is changing too. But have the needs of children actually changed? Or are you being drawn into complex ideas about parenting that don't help you and feed your fears? The needs of children have changed very little. But the preparation of their lives as adults has changed enormously. Are you struggling to balance that reality?
During this lecture, we will guide you through raising children from conception to young adulthood. Highlighting key areas where fear, trauma and social constructs are making it more challenging. We will provide practical steps for nurturing your child and yourselves as parents, from how to be an adult to letting them become one. Finally, we will speak of the future your children will inherit, and is it what you imagine.
