I shared this recently in my monthly newsletter and got some awesome reactions from subscribers. Thought Id share with my blog followers too.
I saw a post/meme on Facebook and thought it was spot on! It read:
We are not all in the same boat. But we are all in the same storm. Support each other. #DonJudge #BeKind
It describes things so well. We are all in the same storm and need to support each other.
If we think about the storm as a metaphor - Are you feeling all at sea? Do you feel battered by the wind of change? Have you lost sight of the shore? Powerful questions aren't they, did any of them resonate? In a storm, you batten down the hatches and during this next lockdown, you may feel like doing that. On a boat, it is to keep out the water but in life, it can keep out the good as well as the bad.
Though we need to isolate, stay home, keep socially distanced physically we need to maintain our connection to family, friend, colleagues, social groups and mother earth. Weathering this storm needs lighthouses - beacons of light you can reach out to, navigate by or just watch from distance knowing they are there. Your beacons of light may be a person, organisation, your beloved pet or Spirit. Find your beacon. Know they will help to guide you home when the storm has passed.
As a community (of like-minded people) we can support each other. We can remind each other that this too shall pass. We can remind each other that we are seen and heard, that we are not alone. Your Spirit Guides can also remind you that you are not alone. They can be your beacon along with your Soul, pointing the way, keeping you on the path. The storm may change the scenery but the path is still there, you are still walking it. Stay strong.
It often gets darker before a storm ends but when the light breaks through afterwards it is glorious. Remember that. The future may look turbulent, but we can manifest a brighter tomorrow - together. As the meme says #DONTJUDGE (not even yourself) and #BEKIND (especially to yourself).
Sending you all light
Hi Sarah, Thank you, and I consider wonderfully expressed. These are helpful reminders for the possibility and examples of community during this individualistic era in my opinion, and a rolling-lock-down year. Cheers, kindly, Marc
