13 a portent, an omen. Or just a number. Humanity sees patterns and meaning in the smallest of things. In seeking to know the Divine, their God, they put all things under a microscope. What is it telling us? What does it mean?
Asking these and many other questions instead of enjoying the life before them. It is possible to overthink, seek too much knowledge, and ring the life out of something in the search for purpose and inspiration. Humanity has long sort to 'know everything'; yet understands so little.
Take 13. It is a number, no real importance; look at what you have made of it. It is unlucky! It is something to blame for your woes or to avoid. But how can you avoid a number? Maths is so vital to your understanding of life and your world. A universal language that your superstition risks unfolding and demeaning.
Seek not for the knowledge of the Divine, the elusive idea. Seek only insight into this life and the living of it. Numbers will give you the tools to measure; measurements give you consistency and foundations. They are solid and immovable, unlike life. Maths is a language to be enjoyed and taught, for it has no boundaries. It knows no creed, or colours, no religions or dialects. It is truly universal.
Humanity needs a common language. A bonding, a principle you all agree on. It is vital to life and living peacefully. Letters create division. Numbers do not. 13 is not unlucky; it is prime.
