Year of the Wood Snake 2025
As the Chinese Year of the Wood Dragon comes to a close, we move into the Year of the Wood Snake. Master Chou talks us through what the animal and the element will mean for us in the year to come. After the potential magic of Dragon, we now have the simplicity of Snake, a straightforward creature who will support us in stepping into ourselves and navigating what is happening around us.
The Wood element should bring stability, a foundation, and strength to lean against. Snake wants us to be ourselves, to flow through our lives with grace and dignity. Both element and animal remind us to focus on our immediate sphere of influence rather than being caught up in the global stage. There are strong themes of personal choice, discernment, and self-awareness.
This is a year of acknowledging all the work we have done and what we have achieved and letting life flow from that place. Letting our paths unfold in front of us, just as it does for Snake.
The talk addresses that Snake does not act from a place of fear but from a place of certainty and surety in who it is. Choosing how it behaves and how it allows itself to be seen. A role model for us to be fully in control of ourselves in the year to come. If we can read ourselves, we can read the world around us. We can see past the smoke and mirrors, past the egos and discern the truth for ourselves.
