Death is a form of surrender; surrender to change, a change of form, of being. Do not resist the change. Death of your physical form is inevitable but nothing to fear.
See the leaves on the ground. The trees have surrendered them, allowed them to fall to play their part in renewal, setting an environment for potential growth in the spring. Without the decaying leaf litter, growth would ultimately draw to a halt; the earth would be starved.
Surrender to your role within the cycle of physical life; do not resist, hide from it, ignore it. Death is part of the cycle, not the end; the cycle or rhythm of life continues. Embrace the cycle, become an active participant in the fullest sense and play your part. Take the cycle of the seasons as your guide. Winter is a time for rest, reflection, renewal. Do not fear this darker time, a time for reflection and of what is. Go with the flow and the changes that nature reveals.
Surrender might be seen as giving upnoallowing and going with the forces around you, your natural flow of life. At times it will ebb and ultimately draw to a close. This is nothing to fear, life takes its course and cannot be resisted. Do not hide in a dark cloud of ignorance. Open your eyes to the truth.
Enjoy, savour your mortal existence. There will be a new journey ahead once the flesh has withered. Then you will be drawn to a new type of existence, a new journey. Surrender to the truth, acknowledge reality in this physical realm. Birth, life, growth, change and death. Do not be afraid. Enjoy your physical form, its time is limited but this is life.
